EXACTLY!!
Based on the presentation of the naked shorting, dividends are really the only thing to stop naked shorting - at least for longer than 90 days.
Also, MONTHLY dividends would help kill one of wall street's last dirty little secret on shorting - at least take the "naked" out of the equasion down to 30 days.
AND, if someone is going to short MY ashares, why can't I get the "rent" for them? HMMMM.
