Thanks Mack,

I am not versed enough to know the big picture here with respect to how this competes with the POEM chip. However, I can comprehend enough to see that this engineering of the DOES switch is a result of a lot of hard work and some ground breaking innovations. I have complete respect for the team of engineers led by Dr. Taylor.

One aspect that I think I am starting to comprehend is that POET is taking an opportunistic approach at market entry on the very short reach end of the market. To replace the copper links on this end (< 50 m) would be a significant market entry for a start up like POET. The consumer electronics segment of augmented reality sounds like a huge market opportunity as well, but is even less defined at this time (lots of important dots but few data or defined requirements).

After hearing the CC, I am happy with my investment in POET. I will not increase my position at this time because of the timeline unknowns. It is common for these startup efforts to estimate future progress, but we haven't seen the results of putting this new management's feet to the fire yet. That's what we hope to see over the next 6 months to 1 year.

Rick
