fwiw, i feel occam's razor applies here.
specifically, no need to attribute such manipulation to govt intervention
when there are simple mechanisms by which greed wielded by the people who run the market can yield the same results.

for clarity, i agree that PPT is likely a real mechanism.
i just don't think it will come into play at these levels.
at least not until 181 support level is broken.
possibly a fair bit lower.
