I guess we could make the same argument for a bunch of things like classic cars that sell for 2 million which at one time sold for 5,000. My point was at one time Martin thought out of the 150yr old box and took a shot at making a guitar which was something they never did before.
I would imagine some famous musicians who buy their stuff could convince them to do the electric guitar again. If the market is there to sell 67k acoustic guitars maybe it will be there to sell 5 or 10k Electric ones made better than anyone else today.
