Statistically, p < 0.05 is the threshold to conclude the rejection of Null Hypothesis -- zero difference.

But the RI protocol requires to observe 1,216 CVE in total to complete. After 1,216th CVE observed, p < 0.05 is still to be the threshold upon completion, and the conclusion should be made upon p < 0.05 -- success or not.

However, in RI p < 0.05 may be reached before completion. With randomness consideration, the p value may fluctuate after that as the study keep going. In another word, p value has its confidence interval, and its range is sample size related -- greater sample size narrower interval, vice versa. So, early stop needs a smaller p -- fortunately, DMC has a pre-decided p for a early halt to RI.

Wait and see. Anyway, now is FEB already.
