Agree with your description of the events. But you left an important fact/timeline out to further prove you theory about NW being upset with LP.
Look at the timeline from when he gave his last funding at favorable terms to NWBO and when he went public airing his concerns/grievances and the fact that it was a very short amount of time for this complete shift from approval to disapproval. So if he did air them personally to LP he went pubic with his dissatisfaction way to quickly which can probably be blamed on his egoship i.e. lordship problem.

If you think for a second that this guy isn't used to be listened to and obeyed you got another thing coming. He made a fool out of LP first, what was LP to do , coattail it out of town and do his beckoning. She was the CEO and he was the investor and not the other way around. He gave her no choice. Now I wish she took another route, sure but he was justified, my problem is it turned into an upswo/manship battle which was no good for both in the end including us shareholders.
