I think people are reading too much into LL's comments about event rate. Im not sure if her comment in October can be taken too literaly. In fact, I believe she was talking about the event rate in general, throughout the trial, being slower than expected. I dont think we can conclude that the first IA did not occur in the fall. Occum's razor: LP said it would occur in the coming months, enrollment was suspended, papers were submitted. I think it is much more likely that LL's comment is a red herring in an otherwise solid theory as to what is happening behind the scenes, namely, first IA was reached and results were forwarded to the reg bodies as per the DMC's recommendation. It is MUCH less likely that the 1st IA was not reached and the reg bodies somehow intervened on their own. Remember, NWBO initiated the halt not the FDA.
