Yes. There is no way an order will ever be placed without a quote. Anyone who thinks otherwise is nutso! I believe the beginning stages tpac will be working through AVIC. So the meeting was just for them to observe paperwork and an opportunity for both sides to meet. So Boeing will not require rfq from tpac directly. Tpac will have to meet current prices that AVIC already has or supply a price to AVIC for AVIC to supply to boeing. Basically tpac will be a subcontractor in the beginning stages. Supporters of tpac are delisunial in thinking they will just be given a billion dollar contract right out of the gate with no pricing, etc. But on the other hand non believers of tpac are focused on the wrong things in my opinion. It can be done. Major companies work with fresh startups every day. You can not focus on Financials in a business that basically is in its first quarter of actually being able to do business because of the long certification process.
I'm a supporter in thinking this can be the start of something big but I am also not naive in thinking this will just be handed to us. Tpac must be ready to put in some hard work to successfully complete the projects on time, produce a top notch product and on budget. Only then will we be successful.
