These grifter-esque lawyers have to know that they have no hope of winning in court with their illusion of a case and are likely really trying to coerce an out-of-court settlement out of AVXL to end the threat of them dragging the scandalous sounding announcement sideshow on and on with frivilous filings, scheduled future hearings and postponements. It's ironic how they can get away with misleading the investor public over and over, while at the same time, falsely accusing their target of doing that very thing.

They are like diabolical versions of the downtown wino's who come up to your car while you are stopped in traffic, then start smearing a greasy rag across your windshield hoping you'll take the easiest response option: "Ok, ok, here's some money. Now please stop defacing my car and go away. "
