They are maintaining "strict radio silence" until whatever gag order has been placed on them has been lifted. Happens all the time in legal proceedings.

No it doesn't. And at this moment, VGTL isn't involved in any legal proceedings. Even when companies are, that doesn't stop them from discussing their business, filing with the SEC, and generally carrying on normally.

Neither the SEC nor anyone else can impose the kind of "gag order" you describe.
