MUMBAI: Even as India has become the global solar headquarters following the 120-nation alliance at the recent Paris climate summit, SunEdison, the world's largest renewable energy developer, has pegged Asia's third largest economy as its significant market with plans to have at least 20% of its total global portfolio here.
"India is one of the company's four pillars of growth with other three being the US, Latin America and China," said Ahmad Chatila, the California-based global president and CEO of SunEdison. The company has a global project pipeline of 7.9 gigawatt.
