This is all speculation, but tell me what you all think of this. It seems that there may be some issues with Tropical Airways that has been previously PR’d (I guess some are saying that it doesn’t have a good reputation in the industry.) I hear that they may be looking to partner/acquire someone else instead, I guess we will see. I wonder about this Aeropostal Airlines (whom it looks like is giving up 4 Falcon Air Express leased planes to VIVA http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=1189508
If you do a “document index” search on the FAA registry for “aeropostal airlines”, those four planes are the only ones that show up in the database. http://162.58.35.241/acdatabase/docindexSQL.asp?colltxt=&partytxt=aeropostal&I5.x=0&I5.y...

It says on their website that they have 21 dc-9’s, 4 Sb-727’s and 3 B-727’s as their fleet.

I am guessing that those 4 Sb-727’s are the above Falcon planes. I wonder if they are giving these up outright and ending their leases from Falcon, or if perhaps this airline is the one replacing Tropical or JV-ing with VIVA? I noticed that a lot of Aeropostal’s routing is the same as the ones listed on Viva’s updated website http://www.vivainternational.org/routes/cr.htm
Aeropostal flies out of Caracas, Venezuela to a lot of the same cities on viva’s routes, which looks similar to the map on Viva’s page.

Just guessing here, but there are a lot of coincidences.
