I just don't get it.

Dropped by to confer with my cardiologist on Monday. Wanted to convert over to Livalo from Generic Lipitor. As the Lipitor was giving me fits, aches and pains, plus headaches. The Doctor didn't bat an eye, he did say Livalo would cost more???? Big deal..... What gets me is these doctors know that Statins give people unwanted after effects, yet they don't even question why people are having these reactions? They just say okay and next patient.......????

Another TV Medical Evangelist (Dr. Maloney?) on PBS has millions of viewers, says that cholesterol is not the problem. That ruptured plaque is the problem for people prone to having a CVE, such as a heart attack. When the plaque ruptures due to inflammation (Which he doesn't mention)???? I really don't get this. Is this guy for real? Doesn't excess cholesterol become plaque? Isn't ruptured plaque a direct cause of the amount of inflammation a person has? Isn't a person with a high level of inflammation more prone to having a CVE? This was all glossed over. I somehow think they pick these TV doctors for their ability to bamboozle.
