For people who were disturbed by the omission of two key points in the WSJ article about the NWBO Woodford letter and circumstances around it that appeared on wsj.com this weekend as I was, I'm pleased to say that the writer responded to an email stating my concerns and updated the story. The original version did not mention that the author, and Phase V as a whole, is anonymous; nor did it state that Phase V was short NWBO.

The revised version appearing today contains this addition:

In its report, Phase Five noted that it and its employees may take long or short positions in companies they cover. In a repost of the report on the Seeking Alpha website, Phase Five disclosed it held a short position in Northwest. The identity of the research group's analysts wasn't cited.

Seeing the author include this information was reassuring as we have seen so many inaccurate reports.
