imo the biggest difference is that Apple came in at a time when the USA was ready for computers and Apple offered what turned out to be better graphics and performance; people swore by their Apple and it spread. From there forward Apple kept offering what consumers what and "needed" where other computer makers were not quite as adept. The market for consumers and later iPhones was nearly limitless and Apple was able to innovate and offer technology enhancements at every need. There are likely others things that set Apple apart not just from Elite but from other business as well.

Simply put Elite is no Apple.
