here's my bet: OROT's site banner will say "no relationship" until we see filings imo.
i also think OROT's a more likely deal partner than anyone else.
how long have jaime gomez and OROT have been communicating? it's possible this link is long term, and 'negotiations' may have started years ago, as soon as medina's stake in SIRG was at risk, as the permitting process look longer than expected for the chloride mine.
will a RM happen here, no matter who comes into the shell? i'm quite confident the answer is "yes", for the reasons so many others have stated - there's too much profit to be made, for all parties involved.
how long will it take? delays happen in the merger process, but i also think penny-flipper retail's involvement has been discouraged as the weeks went by, which is probably to SIRG and their deal partner(s) liking.
when a play unravels L2 gets crowed, and the ask gets stacked. in SIRG's case it's doing just the opposite - fewer players owning larger positions has made it super thin, from here to .003s...
