lol, no, that isn't it. When parties to a suit file something, they're obliged to send a copy to all other parties. Most of the time, that's just lawyers. But in this case, there're all those "interested party" shareholders.

Hilgers probably could care less that he was complaining that our friend hadn't been notified. He was just complying with the law.
