Re: Agreed. Considering the strength of Intel's current and future Core Duo offerings, the real looser here is Dell. AMD will win by selling some laptops through Dell that would've otherwise been Intel laptops and Intel will simply offset their lost sales to Dell by reallocating to other customers. It's rumored that after Dell announced it would sell AMD based servers that Mark Hurd called Paul Otellini and said "We look forward to doing more business with you."

With Core 2, Intel ought to be able to sell every part they can make. If Dell doesn't buy them, someone else will. Why should Intel let Dell threaten them with AMD adoption at this point? After the initial blow with Xeon MP, Dell lost any leverage they had in threatening a PR blow.
