WM, there are reasons that go back to the beginning when Rosie thought he could blow through this bankruptcy case open to close in 15 months or less AND he almost did this. Again, another total failure on Rosie's part because he tried to steal it all and got caught. As you know Equity was NEVER even considered to survive and thus the original Piers Planners total hatred developed when their plan was interrupted because of an Equity Committee.

You had primarily Piers Investors who thought they were smarter, better and fought Equity all the way the was labeled "Colorable" by the court for Insider Trading or basically guilty. Finally, when they realized they may lose their claim entirely, possible prison time, loss of license and loss of standing in society, they finally agreed to share with Equity in two months of closed door, court sealed information discussed in Mediation that could never be used against either party ever. This has been going on since Equity Committee arrived - the hatred and fighting.

Then you had the deadline which was 2/8/2012 to own former WaMu Equities and exchange for NewCo/WMIH Shares AND Escrow Shares and herein lies the rub. There were many Piers investors that never trusted Willingham/Susman for various reasons and they actually thought and still do they knew more than Ed and Mike who were the only two in the two months of court ordered Mediation room for Equity. They made a deal and were extremely happy and no, it was not for tax attributes only - this is/was the ultimate Red Herring. The payout Matrix was changed AFTER the deadline of 2/8/2012 to exchange for NewCo/WMIH Shares and Escrow Shares and this is when some investors realized they had rode the WRONG horse.

I feel NewCo/WMIH, Escrow Shares, former WaMu assets and WMIH capitalization are all tied together directly and indirectly and it could start happening any day or may take more time such as weeks and/or months.
