more signs that the Nov 7th news could be great
After hunkering down with the full 42-page conference program for CTAD Barcelona, I see more evidence than ever that Anavex plans to share great news. If you have high hopes & stakes for Nov. 7th, then please keep reading below for my detailed rationale and let me know what you think.
First, a whopping 230 research teams will present results at this conference. Their presentation types and scheduling imply a hierarchy of importance, i.e. how ?big? the findings are. For example, if Anavex had ?bad? news to share, then they?d want to downplay it by being one of the 158 ?Poster? sessions. Poster sessions are low key, with limited visibility among attendees. 69% of the research teams are going this route.
Second, if Anavex had ?okay? news then they?d go for one of 51 regular ?Oral Communications? sessions. This puts them in the 22% of research teams that stand up in front a large, captive audience.
Third, if Anavex had ?really good? news, then they be one of 16 regular ?Late Breaking Communications? oral sessions. These are the 7% with important stories to tell that shouldn't wait for the next conference. Unfortunately, they're all packed into Friday afternoon, one after the other, which diminishes their effect. Also, they'll attract a smaller audience because they're scheduled again concurrent ?Oral Communications? sessions.
Finally, if Anavex had ?great? news to share, then they?d be one of just 5 ?Late Breaking Communications? sessions that also DOUBLES as a as an ?Oral Communications? session. This is the best of both worlds. These 2% get the important "late breaking" status but also attract the largest possible audience because there are no concurrent sessions occurring in other rooms.
BOTTOM LINE: The fact that Anavex has one of the top 5 slots out of 230 total slots portends excellent news. They would not do this to share #$%$ results.
