A Rod was a studio commentator on Fox Sports One, which carried the ALCS. I thought he was decent, but certainly overshadowed by the hilarious Pete Rose, and Frank Thomas is also real good.

..but.....A Rod made this wacky comment last night after the game (I'm paraphrasing)....'If I had to pick one player from all of baseball to start a new franchise with right now, it would be Eric Hosmer'

Now, I like Hosmer alot, real good defense, real solid offense, not great speed or anything..but doesnt clog the basepaths, seems like a great personality, yada yada yada..................but Hosmer as yer Number One Pick? Thats getting carried away...
