My computer has been running at 100% CPU yet again. I've physically cleaned out the dust, run numerous scans in safe mode, looked for conflicts with my antivirus software and cannot find anything to account for this. The hog appears to be Firefox, which I have upgraded to most current version, closed windows, etc. without any impact. Going to check Services yet again. Running out of ideas. May have to wipe the HD and start fresh. Anyone have any other ideas I could try?

PS Oddly enough, once I open Firefox the CPU goes to 100%, but when I then close Firefox, it stays at 100% instead of dropping back down. Don't understand this. . .
