The Supreme Court admitted on 15 October 1 Amparo Guarantees submitted by Candy de Gracia, on behalf of Petaquilla Gold, against the order of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) aimed at nullifying the granting of mining not pay royalties to the state.
The mining brought the action in June, but the reporting judge Hernán De León, took two months to decide their legal fate.
