Paul Allen's (yes the co-founder of Microsoft) Institute for Brain Science in Seattle is doing a major study on Alzheimer's disease. Its whole-brain model of Alzheimer's "builds on the Allen Mouse Brain Connectivity Atlas which allows researchers to quantitatively analyze connections across the entire mouse brain."
