Look what hurt you is arrieta and lester didn't pitch great, you can't lose game arrieta pitches. admittingly once you get past them you need reinforcements. Which I'm sure they will get in the offseason.
Luck has nothing to do with it though. When you have the mets pitching staff when they are on they can shut any lineup down. Hopefully Matz can close it down, although I feel 95% confident mets will win this series at this point, part of me and a tiny part is worried about them breaking a streak from a 3-0 down and going on to win a WS like the Red Sox, not that I'm the first one to say or think that. Overall I think the cubs are if anything ahead of schedule this year regardless, they need to add pitchers in the offseason, and getting playoff experiance for your young guys is great. This is not the last we will see of the cubs I'm certain they are gonna spend some money on a pitcher to improve this rotation in my opinion.
