sts: Getting a script for V is not the problem. My PCP did one off label for me. The problem is now paying for V since the inception of Obamacare. Yes, I can get V anytime I don't have to rob a bank. Through Express Scripts a 90 day mail order supply of V costs me $610 +++ out of pocket. V is not on ExpressScripts "Preventive" drug list. Although it is on UHC "preventive" drug list. If only I could establish a tie between UHC & Express Scripts???? I could get an attorney and sue them. But, who has the time, money and patience to do that?

UHC calls their Preventive drug list those drugs that prevent condition from becoming life threatening. Why Vascepa is on UHC's Preventive list and not Express Scripts is beyond me. One of the qualifiers under UHC's list is that these Cholesterol lowering drugs prevent heart attacks. I have yet to get a straight answer from my HR dept. or Express Scripts.
