Watching the supernatural metamorphosis is amazing.
A RFP request from Deutsche Bahn has turned into:
*) Implications that there are deals or partnerships with Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Telecom. Hell, why not throw the Bundespost and Volkswagen in there too. Isn't that what "DD" is all about? Wave is leading all deals in Germany now because the CEO tweeted about an RFP from a German organization!
*) Implications that the deal is already won and targeted for Wave Systems. After over a decade of disappointment with thoughts like this you would think the lesson has been learned.
*) Taking loose translations to try to convince "investors" the RFP is not really a competitive RFP.
The reality, it is a competitive, public RFP for Deutsche Bahn, no one else. It will be a reasonably long process. Other companies may or may not respond. If Wave wins part or all of it, it will be announced. (I can't wait to see the stealth arguments again.)
Being "wrong" has been extremely profitable.
