Why are they limited to just Aerospace bearings, why not make bearings for the military that don't have his high requirement as is required in Aerospace bearings. Make some for military get a government contract at least have a constant flow of income? If you can make a bearing that will meet requirements for an airplane, you can make a bearing that meets requirements for a tank, a truck, a jeep, a motorcycle, handcart.
Maybe my Thinking is too small and to tool up to make a bearing for a tank would require machine with less tolerance is less stress testing, less ability to meet the requirements that aerospace needs. Or maybe Timkin, SKF, FAG, or one of the other bearing manufacturers have the contracts tied up.
