I don't get pulling any starter in the 1rst inning, unless he has gotten destroyed (A homer by piscotty which has practically happened to every cubs pitcher this series), and he didn't give up any run after the 1rst I might add. I mean he practically had the bullpen up as soon as he threw his first pitch. if your that unconfident, then he shouldn't of started in my opinion.
I think it is crazy to have a bullpen guy up for three innings before he comes in. If he failed that would of been on maddon, not grimm in my opinion. He is lucky the bullpen guy bailed him out with that lousy decision in my opinion
