The ISRG rep where I am said that they are holding off on their single port, because they are trying to figure out how to get the price down so it can be competitive. He is very familiar with Titan and is invested. I would think that since the snake arm tech is similar enough and Titan has a platform that is independent of the new xi, ISRG has to be considering acquisition. They have the multiport market 100% and the way to compete in the future would be to have the single port tech. It appears that Titan has a huge advantage over them in this regard. Both cheaper and independent platforms. I bet they are doing their research on risk/benefit of buyout very diligently. It all depends on the price. What would Titan be willing to sell for?? Is the silence and low PPS purposeful to try to decrease expectation? A 1 billion (PPS 6.5) buyout instead of 4-5?? With either price, they would sustain a market domination and be paid back many times in return. I think the ISRG MA is the most logical, but what does logic have to do with it!!!
