Similar situation, post split I am sitting 3200 shares .. at these prices I am still adding a couple hundred shares at a time. Easiest way to think of it, come up with a short term and a long term target that you believe AVXL can achieve.

For example, say $20 before the results, and $60 after (good/great) results.

If you only have $2000 to buy with at $10 per share, that will get you 200 shares.

Short term, those 200 shares will be worth: 200 x 20 = $4,000
Long(er) term, those 200 shares will be worth 200 x 60 = $12,000

Now you decided if it is worth your time, and worth the risk, at these prices.
