Trying to raise more cash.

After the recent downdraft, my account is pretty depleted of cash.

I dont expect anything to have a sale for awhile unless the market has a big jump as I just did buys.

I thought of reducing the number of separate holdings I have by selling some of the things I dont expect to recover for awhile that are individual stocks. Most of the securities I would be selling I would have tax losses in. Ftek, Spwr, DHT,

I thought of taking some arbitrary number (I will use $100,000 in the example) lets say $100,000 and if my total account goes to $105,000 I would be willing to sell off $5,000 of stock. If one of my remaining holdings then required a buy, I would have the funds to do so.

The above would have me sell stock sooner than if I wait for a 30% rise in one of my individual holdings.

I would mainly use the above to remove individual stock holdings from my account and concentrate on ETFs.

Any thoughts?

Take the road less traveled. It will make all the difference.
