MMs are trying to Frog you.

You know the story of the frog in the pot. Raising the temperature ever so slowly until the frog finds itself boiling.

Moving the price ever so slowly to draw you in, then execute a persistent and methodical slide down to hopefully entrench those with grandiose ambitions of hitting a grand slam. They want to get you fully committed before they pull the rug for the 'big one'. We know these as the bear raid.
