No, you're not missing a thing. I've experienced too many losses following a RS, and not to mention there is a reason why so many investors buy penny stocks - it's all about the volume. Nobody wants to see that evaporate due to a RS.


He is missing a lot and so are you. For starters, no one is saying it is a good thing, but rather it is NOT a bad thing. Look at AXON. Low float means huge moves to the upside. Can you imagine the moves for AVXL which may actually have valid science and product behind it?

..but a $1.30 stock will run faster than a stock at $13.00.


It depends on the stock. A 1.30 stock runs faster because it is more likely to be manipulated. A 13.00 stock runs faster because of value and demand exceeding supply.

Look at AAPL if you want to see an example of what happens when and why a stock splits - it makes it more attractive to the retail investors.


What? AAPL was a big time mover, until it did a forward split and is now languishing in the hands of more people, many who are gamblers and short term traders.
