How do you figure that?
Their investment in JAMN is now worth about $1.5 million, give or take. Let's say that they quadruple it (JAMN would be worth about 80 cents a share - a number they haven't seen in ages). The investment would then be worth $6 million.
That article says that MP has $600 million in revenues. Just for argument, let's say that their own brands are $100 million of the revenue that they get and let's say that using Eco cups only increases their sales by 10%, so they get an extra $10 million per year in sales.
If they make Eco cups exclusive to JAMN, they lose out on the $10 million in sales. If they also use Eco cups for their own brands, then their value in JAMN goes up (it won't really, but for the sake of argument...) and they get the $10 million extra in sales.
So explain to me why making Eco cups exclusive to JAMN is a good thing.
