Ramsey--Well, Rob Enderle, declared on June 19, that in a
"FEW SHORT WEEKS" Seagate was going to launch a hard drive "THAT WILL USE THE TPM IN A NEW WAY". And that "ANY ORGANIZATION WITH LOTS OF LAPTOPS THAT CONTAIN SENSITIVE INFORMATION SHOULD JUMP"....( as in JUMP!!!!!!! JUMP!!!!!! JUMP!!!!!! JUMP!!!!!!)...... "ON THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY".

Anyway, the point I'm trying to establish in language that is quiet, dignified, and precociously subtle is that in "a few short weeks" (per Rob Enderle) from now WAVE and SEAGATE will begin rescuing organizations from the potential catastrophic lose of sensitive information. Talk about Holy Grail technology!!!

And he makes sure to single out WAVE as the enabler of this newfangled TPM Seagate hard drive. He neglects unfortunately to state outright that WAVE is the ONLY company that can enable TPM Seagate with an INTEROPERABLE, AUTHENTICATED and LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT of the TPM Seagate FDE.

In a few short weeks, however, a new class of drive will emerge, first from Seagate and then from others, that will use the TPM in a new way. And any organization with lots of laptops that contain sensitive information should jump on this new technology.
Safer Driving
The TPM on the drive, if properly implemented, will do two critical things. First, it encrypts the drive. When used with a compliant systems management product like Wave Systems' Embassy solution, the IT organization can then centrally manage all these newly protected drives. "
