nerd86-you are absolutely right Joe is one person that should not be overlooked.i was fortunate to have two conversations with him one before the meeting and another during the Q and A session.his statements to me as i remember them are as follows,
all wireless pilot programs are not started until a deposit is secured and in the bank.the amount of requests for startup wireless pilot programs are of a grand scale,more than they can accomodate.mexico is the hot spot at this time as those that are involved in this initial pilot program will take it throughout latin america.funding is not a problem.
when i asked a question about FAA flight approvals tim huff was very quick to say that the first commercial strat will operate in another country,and yes they are working closely with the FAA.tim was also very quick to respond that once hot zone pilot programs are proven to work the balance of the build out will take place immediately this was reiterated by joe as well.there is one thing that bothered me and it was tim's use of holding up three fingers and stating that each division is operating on a three million $ budget-he did this several times.it seems to me that 3 mil is lunch money when i consider the magnitude of what GTE is trying to accomplish. Mide- i believe that i sat next to you for a short time.
