If you set your sell order too high, you're effectively telling algos that you won't be taking any profits at these levels with those "locked" shares...you're basically taking those shares out of the equation. As XL says, it's best to hold your cards close to your chest.
And, it's a bit naive for retail to try to outsmart algos created by MIT wizards.
Besides, some folks like Fidelity investors cannot set sell orders above $2 while the current price is less than $1 on the OTC.
