They're basically a Greek shipping company. But they traded on the Nasdaq since 2005 or something. More recently, they got into financial trouble, and borrowed money from every toxic financier out there. As more and more stock was issued, the price collapsed, necessitating all those reverse splits so that NEWL could comply with Nasdaq listing standards.
