Hmmm....with the st gobain patent specific to ceramic and liquidmetal recently (June or July I believe)---plus the news rumor (Latino post, gamezone and multiple others) of the 7 it would be really cool to skip the 6s and go straight to a ceramic and LQMT iphone during saint gobains 350th anniv year. Seriously a Longshot--but would be a significant event worthy of a larger than normal product rollout on the 9th. Just my opinion--no facts--no links--just a guess.

I agree it's a long shot but I've been tossing the idea around for a while now myself. Rumors of Apple and Liquidmetal have been the slowest this year since the signing of the MTA, not to mention, it's about time they do something. I think we may even see a watch before the iPhone but either one would set LQMT in motion that's for sure. Who knows... We shall see on the 9th though.

I also find it interesting that Steipp and Chung will be at the Rodman & Renshaw Conference on the 9th (the same day as the Apple Event). It would be sweet if they were doing it to coincide with an Apple release.
