Well Harper was developing, of course I'm not his biggest fan (being a mets fan), but he was still in development when he came up. Same could be said of most of the cubs lineup.
I think Russell will get better, I think soler will get better, I think Rizzo is allready a star. I think schwarber and Bryant will be stars. Everyone forget schwaber is still hitting 270 or so, he was due to cool down, I believe he will make and adjustment. Him and conforto (From the mets) from that draft class are in my opinion both gonna be great hitters.
I think they need to resign Montero and Fowler, This team will hit. However their starting pitching, I like Lester, I like Arrieta. Hammels is a decent 4th/5th starter. But after that, their pitching is weak, they need to spend money and acquire another big pitcher, so lester is a 3, then they have a chance to be very good.
Lets face it this year is the 1rst step for the cubs. I don't think they are a finsihed product, because alot of their players are still developing. This year is a great opportunity just to make the playoffs, in a perfect world you win that wildcard game, than athe cubs, are playing with houses money in my opinion.
