Does the market bluff?

No, but hedgy's might.

If there are no willing sellers and the hedgy's want to shake out longs then they will step up and dump if they think they can trigger stop losses and scare some folks. They will probably pick up a bunch of puts before hand then pull the pin. They thrive in mayhem. That's why you want to stay frosty in calm 'flatline' moments.

... and that's why you get in front of these guys fast and play with Hedgy's money. :)
