Wrong. Crgp dumped new shares into the market. They and the transfer agent were the only ones who could tell the dtcc which shares were eligible for dividends. The DTCc has no record of those things unless a company provides updates and clarification. Crgp did not provide the ownership details for those shares, so the dtcc followed the general exchange rule for special dividends which requires all shares on record up until the ex date, to receive the divy. Cor did not pay the divies voluntarily as they CLEARLY outline in their complaint. The dtcc originally went to crgp and asked them to pay the shortage but they pointed the finger to COR, who denied being respinsible to pay the divies on the the ineligible shares. So, the dtcc simply debited the money from COR"s account and would not return it. Sort of lije when the IRS levys a person bank account and simply garnishes money owed. That is crgp"s fault. They sold shares while they were buying back shares so they could reap gains from both the sale of new stock and receivibg the divy. That kind of action by any company is ILLEGAL and considered stock manipulation by the SEC. The fact that COR"s complaint states they won't return the divy money to COR which they have admitted that should not have been paid is further proof of their intent. If they new they received millions in divies that were not even eligible for it, they should have contacted the dtcc and returned the money to COR immediately upon being aprised of the error. Everyone here will have to wait for the outcome,The SEC has not even weighed in on this matter yet, but don't be surprised if a complaint from them comes nextn There are too many unanswered questions about this mess that you better believe FNRA, the SEC and even the DOJ will get answers for before all is said and done, if necessary. COR"s complaint is just the tip of the iceberg.
