Post 44273 just talks about how the, current "pending", patent has been extended past the last miss-hap with their art deemed 'lacking non-obviousness'. This just means that the lawyer asked for a new examination(perhaps they changed the wording). Hopefully the examiner thought that these changes suffice to be 'non-obvious'.

My post was regarding the Panasonic patent, which the Solar3d patent references, and which is the entire cause of the 'lacking non-obviousness' miss-hap. This patent by Panasonic expired today! This patent was never taken advantage of by Panasonic and now the technology is the public realm for free use commercially. I think this is huge, it might mean that any company could come out with a range of solar3d cells which takes advanage of the techology that Solar3d is trying to patent but has already once failed doing.

If Solar3d misses out on getting their patent the second time around, the first commercial three dimensional solar cell will be industrialized by one of the big boys way before us. IMO

Also in the latest update to the Solar3d patent, it looks to have been dismissed on June, 24,2015.
