If they have reached 300 "enrolled", and I do believe they have, then I would suggest that the reason they are halting screening is that they have enough patients in the pipeline (if you will) to reach the 48 still needed.

Think of it like this.

There are 300 enrolled.

There are something like 93 centers recruiting. More than likely, there are around 60 or so patients out there that have been "Screened", had their "Surgery, had their vaccines made, and are in the 3 month process of being checked for "Rapid Progression". Remember, they can't enter the trial if they are. So... as Flip also suggests in his post #38874, screening was halted, because they will most likely be fully enrolled sometime in the next three months. No more patients can enter the trial though, because there are enough in the "pipeline" to fill it.

That's my guess anyway.
