She was not trying to reason about anything. She was asking the same question over and over. It was answered a number of times and apparently she didn't like the answer so she kept asking the question hoping she would get an answer that fit her preconcived notions.

In your case, you look upon facts as negativity because they don't fit your preconceived notions and aren't what you want to hear.

I'm sorry you lost your money but there is no way to sugarcoat it.
