indeed. there were many reasons. in the end, it appears that wave's potential customers didn't feel wave's product was a must-have. just goes to show that you shouldn't rely on the concatenation between a premise/ assertion (such as "the success of this platform/technology is inevitable") and a pot of gold (such as ubiquity) without being sure of the steps in between. and if you find you cannot do that, which many have found including myself, then respect measurements of the acceleration, or the lack thereof, rather than constantly expanding the timeline to preserve the argument: because in doing so, you lose one of the few reliable data points in this story, which is the passage of time and its impact.
