Okay, here's the scoop - he's (Bill Gates) retiring in 2 years (July, 2008). He'll be working full time at the Bill & Linda Gates Foundation, and only as Chairman and Technical Advisor to Microsoft. He's shifting his positions as follows: Ray Ozzie (spelling may be wrong), Chief Software Architect; Craig Mundy, Chief Research and Incubation Officer; several key product leaders to play an expanded role in business and technology... Steve Ballmer, CEO, will assume the remainder of his priorities/responsibilities. More to follow - let me listen more...
