IQ has nothing to do with stock selection if you have bad information. IDCC will not get noticed with bad numbers. Now that the numbers have improved and the cash is flowing it is critical that they be accurate or IDCC will not appear on their radar screens. Believe it or not MM earn their money. When taking a position there are many steps that occur. Step one is software screens. step two is reading SEC filings, press reports and trade papers. step 3 is calls to the company and peers. step 4 may be a tour, meeting or call with the CFO and or the CEO. Step 5 is a TA analysis of entry point and bench marks for holding.

My point is that even the smartest MM will never see IDCC in step one if the information is wrong. How many minutes will an assistant get in the MM office claiming that all the reported information is wrong, that IDCC is a gem, that money has, is and will flow. A MM will not piss away research dollars and time on a stock that can't pass a simple screen. There is something wrong, a sniff test of sorts and the IDCC idea will go in the round file quicker than it took to read this.

Good stocks get 70% + institutional ownership no problem. When a company needs or wants cash institutions often offer easy quick and cheap access for desired equity positions.
