Hidden assets like these are worthless, if management can hide the income with miscellaneous expenses. Management cleverly hides the value to keep their jobs.
Of course if this hidden asset exists why doesn't the omniscient Mr Market see it. Therefore it doesn't exist or it's value will never be uncovered , or management can hide it forever. Same for Redbank, Detroit real estate or net operating tax credit losses. Life is so much simpler-why waste time on all that research? Just ask snowball!
